CAN WE BEAT CANCER BY DECLARING WAR ON IT? – SO WHAT ABOUT COLLATERAL DAMAGE?

It´s nearly 50 years since Richard Nixon declared his political war on cancer.

Yet, cancer´s terrifying reputation as a death sentence with little hope for a permanent pardon has not lost much of its power over minds since then. And for good reason. More people than ever fall prey to this ugly disease today.

At the same time, the chances of a permanent cure with the few treatment options offered by our official medical science, has only improved marginally in the last 50 years, and only for a few types of cancer.

Doctors are trained to scare people, urging them to accept the proposed treatments on the spot, rather than pausing to get second opinions or investigating better alternative treatment options. And these proposed treatments are absurdly expensive, even if the patient does not always feel it directly, due to medical insurance or social security.

Mostly, there is more than enough time after a cancer diagnosis to seek one or more alternative treatment options. A choice that can lead to a cure and survival, rather than a painful death by chemo and radiation.

In spite of a century of ongoing research costing hundreds of billions of dollars, and prestigiously feeding hundreds of thousands of researchers all over the world, an officially acknowledged true cure still seems as elusive as ever. Even though mainstream media and our politically institutionalized medicine periodically announce promising advances and miracle cures just around the corner. This in order to justify begging for ever more money to their gigantic research industry and to keep people patiently waiting for a definite cure.

How is this even possible? – Over a century. With billions of dollars and millions of manhours spent!
